Abstract
The current research aimed at developing a social studies curriculum for the second year of the preparatory school (objectives - content - activities and methods - assessment techniques) in light of the requirements of the knowledge economy and the development of some life skills among students. To verify this goal, the researcher prepared two lists, one of themaddresses the requirements of knowledge economy including these requirements: (cognitive - Social-economic - research - creative - technological - life) and their sub-requirements. The researcher designed a tool to analyze the elements of the curriculum in light of these requirements, and indicated the weakness of the availability of these requirements in the social studies curriculum for the second year of the preparatory stage.Accordingly, the researcher developed the elements of the curriculum in light of the requirements of knowledge economy. The researcher also designed a list of life skills most suitable for the second-grade preparatory school students, which was applied to the two research groups (experimental and control) before and after teaching the proposed unit. Findings indicated the effectiveness of the developed curriculum in providing students with the requirements of the knowledge economy and in developing their life skills, as the results were as follows:
The degree to which content and evaluation techniques meet the requirements of the knowledge economy in the current second preparatory social studies curriculum is greater than the rest of the curriculum components, as the relative weight of their availability in the curriculum reached (28.25, 27.46%), while the relative weight of the objectives and teaching and learning activities, teaching methods was respectively (23.44, 23.17%).
The degree to which the social studies curriculum for the second year of middle school with its four components (objectives - content - activities and methods - assessment techniques) meets the requirements of knowledge economy is great.
The effectiveness of the developed curriculum in providing second-grade preparatory students with the requirements of knowledge economy.
The effectiveness of the developed curriculum in developing some life skills for second-year preparatory school pupils.

The current study aimed at investigating the term of educational policy, its components and basic standards for establishing it, as well as identifying the notion of SARS-Cov2 pandemic, and its major social, economic, political and educational impacts on higher education institutions. Furthermore, it tried to address the features of educational policy which was implemented at the time of Coronavirus at Fayoum University to highlight the shortcomings and strength in implementing it. It also attempted to identify the perceptions of experts regarding efficiency of the educational policy used at the time of the crisis at Fayoum University and developing a Suggested Perception to increase its efficiency and overcome obstacles to its implementation. The study employed the ideas of the critical theory to understand how Egyptian universities responded, through their educational policies, to the repercussions of the crisis. The study also used the case study method. Based on interview analysis and content analysis of educational policy decisions ,the study reached many results which are: the educational policy of Fayoum University has stopped in dealing with the crisis to just reduce its negative effects on the educational system in the colleges, in addition to poor adoption of the educational policy on a strong basis of information on the elements of the educational system, As a result, the policy has been separated from the present and the future and therefore, a limited role on just reactions, and managing problems more than solving them was employed. Finally, the study developed a suggested proposal to improve the effectiveness of educational policies of Fayoum University at the time of crisis.

In this study, a comparison was made between the values and relative bias ratios of thirteen different types of reliability coefficients, which are the Guttman reliability lower bounds coefficients (λ1, λ2, λ3, λ4, λ5, λ6), and the Cronbach alpha reliability coefficient (α), and the Total Omega coefficient (ωt), Hierarchical Omega-asymptotic coefficient (ωh), Greatest lower bound coefficient (glb), Polychoric alpha coefficient (αpoly), Worst split half coefficient (β), Alpha-stratified coefficient (αstrata), and Maximal Reliability Coefficient (H) through data generated by Monte Carlo method with two measurement frames unidimensional and multidimensional models through four data conditions (Data Type - Response Options - Test Length - Sample Size), and it became clear from the results that there are four types of reliability coefficients that give the highest estimation coefficient of measurement reliability and can be considered non-bias reliability coefficients as it outperforms the traditional Cronbach alpha coefficient, making it the best for use in different data cases, namely the total omega reliability coefficient (ωt), the greatest lower bound reliability coefficient (glb), the maximum Guttman lower bound reliability coefficient (λ4), and the polychoric alpha reliability coefficient (αpoly). The best performance among them was Total Omega Coefficient performance (ωt), which gave the highest values of reliability with the lowest relative bias for the majority of interactions between cases of data types and tests, and the diversity of sample sizes.
