This study aimed to investigate the extent of science teachers’ understanding of scientific inquiry in teaching science content in a province in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and continued to explore the obstacles that face science teachers when they use scientific inquiry. In addition, the study focused on testing a number of related variables. The researcher used a questionnaire consisting of (22) items related to the use of scientific inquiry and (17) items related to obstacles that may face science teachers when they use scientific inquiry, and (5) items to gather related information about some variables, including gender, years of teaching experience, number of students in each class, and the type of teacher preparation background. The study found that science teachers used scientific inquiry at a high level, (M = 4.56) with (SD = 0.57). The study showed that there was a number of obstacles facing science teachers when using scientific inquiry, with a difference on the impact of these obstacles. The results showed that the lack of sufficient financial support for purchasing educational materials was one of the most important obstacles, in addition to the number of lessons to be covered, the scarcity of sources of exploration in school, and the time that teachers need when they use scientific inquiry. The gender variable, school grade, years of teaching experience, students' number in the classroom, and the academic pattern did not show any statistical differences between investigated groups. But, the study found a statistical relationship between teaching experience and obstacles that face science teachers when they use scientific inquiry.

This study aimed at identifying the degree of practicing critical and creative thinking skills in dealing with social media platforms, and its implications on the intellectual security of students at King Faisal University. The descriptive method was utilized in this study. Two questionnaires of critical and creative use of communication platforms and the implications of communication platforms on intellectual security were administered to a sample of 507 male and female students at King Faisal University. The results of the study revealed that WhatsApp, Snapchat, and Instagram platforms were the most used by the students of King Faisal University, while YouTube, Twitter and Facebook platforms were the least. The critical and creative practices of the students of King Faisal University in dealing with social media platforms came to a moderate degree, and the implications of social media platforms on intellectual security, came largely on the axes (social and religious effects - and economic effects), While came to a medium degree on the axis (political effects). There was a significant correlation between the different axes of the two study tools. The creative use of social media platforms affects intellectual security. Intellectual security can be predicted through the scale of creative use of social media platforms, while the critical use factor has no effect. The study recommended the need to include university curricula some courses with the aim of interpreting the skills and characteristics of critical and creative thinking in the form of behavioral practices for the optimal use of social media platforms, and to extract the different effects of social media platforms on intellectual security, and provide the university staff with sufficient concepts and clear facts, to play positive roles In the face of the challenges of intellectual security

This paper discusses the most important requirements of the transition to digital learning for youngsters in the Arab world. It aims at indicating the necessary requirements for the process of transition to digital learning and clarifying the knowledge impact of digital learning on youngsters. The study used the descriptive approach in the collection of information, whether research studies or field experiments, from their official sources, compared, analyzed and then interpreted them in order to arrive at acceptable logical explanations. The researcher has reached a number of results: Educational Organizations and their institutions are responsible for preparing the methodologies, goals and programs of digital learning, not marketers or e-learning specialists, also conducting more research and integrative experiments for all disciplines (Psychology, Curricula and Teaching Methods, Education, Linguistics, Anthropology) to ensure the success of the different forms of digital learning, and to come up with a unified vision about the positive effects and negative problems they raise, in addition to postponing the use of such technology in all Learning programs and rationalizing its process. Experiments are still inadequate in verifying the feasibility of the current technology used in student learning, in addition to classifying the types of learners to measure the suitability of the form of communication material that will be presented to them, so that the desired results would be of high quality

Nowadays, Brainstorming is considered one of the most important educational strategies on which educational technology depends for the development of developed thinking for all learners or trainees, It also has many techniques that if properly are utilized and employed in the educational process and training courses, that will bring multiple benefits to all participants in its sessions, This will benefit students, graduates and the labor market. In spite of the many studies in the field of educational technology that focused on brainstorming, few of them went to study the techniques of brainstorming and determine which of them has a positive impact on the beneficiaries. The present research sought to test some technique of the brainstorming in a virtual collaborative training environment to develop skills for the production of developed digital content; and the extent to which the instructional design specialist direct himself towards the brainstorming techniques. The research sample included (21) educational designers from the e-course production centers of in Egyptian universities. The research sample has been divided into three experimental groups for three of the techniques brainstorming technique (conventional / reverse / step ladder), a developed digital content production skills scale was designed to measure the ability of the research sample of those skills, as well as a trend scale to measure the direction of the research sample towards the brainstorming technique used in a virtual collaborative training environment. The research followed a set of procedures that ensure a good instructional design for a virtual collaborative training environment presented by brainstorming techniques, and the results showed the impact of brainstorming techniques on the search variables in general; and the reverse brainstorming technique on the research variables in particular, There were statistically significant differences between the three experimental groups in the pre / post measurement of developed digital content production scale Which confirms that instructional design specialists have increased their skills in producing developed digital content, However, the results of the current research confirmed that the experimental group (B), which was trained in the reverse brainstorming technique, had higher scores in all search variables than the other two experimental groups (a) and (c), These results confirm the impact of the reverse brainstorming technique on the development of skills in general and the skills of producing developed digital content in particular, While the results of the three experimental groups on the trend scale towards the brainstorming technique are consistent with those of the skills scale of the designed digital content production, There was a significant preference (direction) towards the reverse brainstorming technique more than the rest of the techniques, which shows how the reverse brainstorming technique affects the instructional design specialists, The research recommended the importance of brainstorming techniques, especially the reverse brainstorming technique because of its strong impact on the development of skills, the generation of developed ideas and the transfer of experiences among participants in the sessions with the need for further research.

To achieve the goal of the present study, the researcher prepared a program based on the use of tablets and the Internetin light of the communicative theory of teaching chemistry with its Teacher's Guide, students' handouts and communicative Whatsapp groups, a pre-post digital teaching skills observation checklist and a pre-post professional responsibility scale. Results revealed that there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of Experemental Group 1 and 2 and those of the control group on the post-tesing of the digital teaching skills (each skill and as a whole) and on the post-testing of professional responsibility (each dimension and as a whole). Moreover, there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of Experimental Group 1 and those of Experimental Group 2 on the post-testing of digital teaching skills in favour of Experimental Group 2. Also, there were no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of Experimental Group 1 and those of Experimental Group 2 on the post-testing of professional responsibility. And, there was astatistically positive correlation between the mean scores of Experimental Group 1 and those of Experimental Group 2 in digital teaching skills. Thus, it was recommended that pre- and in-service chemistry teachers need to be trained using tablets and the Internet in the teaching of chemistry topics via digital simulation and scientific stations strategies because of their effectiveness in developing digital teaching skills and professional responsibility.

This study aimed to investigate the impact of using Augmented Reality (AR) technique as a new technology on the development of design skills among the students of Art Education department in the college of education at Jazan University and their attitudes toward the emerging technologies. This study employed experimental design method on one group with pre–test and post-test, to answer the research questions and to test the research hypotheses. The sample of this study consisted of (30) male students from the department of Art Education who registered in the course of "Computer Applications in Art Education". Particepants were trained at first in the practical aspect on how to design by using Augmented Reality technique. The research tools consisted of achievement test to measure the cognitive aspect of design skills, note card for performance of design skills, product quality evaluation card, and an instrument as a scale of students' attitudes toward the emerging technologies. Research's results showed that there was a statistically significant difference at the level of α=0.05 between the average scores of students who use Augmented Reality in both pre and post tests on the cognitive achievement test of design skills, note card for performance of design skills, product quality evaluation card and the scale of students' attitudes toward the emerging technologies in favor of the post-test. The effect size was calculated using Eta square (h2) formula. It was in the achivement test 0.96, note card for performance of design skills 0.97 and the product quality evaluation card 0.98 which indicates a significant impact size. This is an indication of the effectiveness of using Augmented Reality technique in the development of achievement, design skills and quality of the study sample product. Also, the effect size was calculated using using Eta square (h2) formula for the two dimensions of the scale and the total score, and there were respectively (0.89 - 0.94 - 0.96) which indicate a significant impact size. This is an indication of the effectiveness of using Augmented Reality technique in enhancing the attitude toward the emerging technologies. The study recommended the need to employ Augmented Reality technique, especially in courses of a practical nature that require the provision of high-cost tools at all levels of education while providing appropriate training for students, teachers and faculty members to employ them because of their effective impact in achieving learning objectives
