The aim of the current study is to identify the effectiveness of a proposed teaching strategy in the light of task-based learning approach in developing grammatical skills and its awareness among prep-stage students. To achieve this, a program based on the task-based approach to learning , a grammar test, and an awareness measure of grammatical learning skills were designed. The research participants consisted of (60) pupils from the second preparatory class in Dairut Umm Nakhleh Preparatory School in Minya Governorate. They were divided into two groups with 30 pupils in each: experimental group taught by the proposed strategy and control group taught by the traditional method. The results revealed that there were statistically significant differences between the performance of the experimental group and the control group in the post measurement in favor of the experimental group, as the performance of students of the experimental group improved in learning grammatical rules, and their level of awareness towards the grammatical skills increased, confirming the effectiveness of the proposed teaching strategy.
