The aim of the current research is to develop analytical reading skills for academic discourse of the post-graduate students at the Faculty of Education, Zagazig University. The research group consisted of (15) male and female students specialized in curriculum and Methods of teaching (Arabic). To achieve the goal of the research, a list of analytical reading skills, students' worksheets and a lecturer guide were prepared. The experimental design was used. The analytical reading skills' test was pre-administered to the research group. The analytical reading skills' test was then post-administered to the research group. Paired-Samples t-test was used for the statistical analysis. Results revealed a statistically significant difference at the level of (0.01) between the mean scores of the research group of the pre and post administration of the analytical reading skills' test as awhole and for each main domain in favour of the post administration. In light of the research results, the researcher recommended a supportive environment for creating electronic collaborative learning in universities and other educational institutions, and developing a strategic plan to overcome potential obstacles that prevent it from being activated, and holding training courses for under and post-graduate students to train them to activate electronic collaborative learning.
