The objective of in study: The study aimed to reveal the impact of domestic violence directed towards children in childhood suffering from depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder and sleep disorders (insomnia - hypersomnia - naps sleep - lack of breathing during sleep - nightmares) during adolescence.
Tools of the study: The researcher used the scale of domestic violence Setup / researcher, Depression Scale Setup / Gharib Abdel Fattah Ghraib (1999), obsessive-compulsive disorder Scale Setup / Kotb Abdo Hanour (2010), and the measure of sleep disorders Setup / Kotb Abdo Hanour (2009)
The study sample: The study sample consisted of 275 adolescents and a teenager from the initial band, Faculty of Education students. Of them (57) are exposed to domestic violence in childhood. And (218) is exposed to domestic violence, ages ranged from (18-19 years)
Results: The results confirm that exposure to domestic violence from parents increases the suffering of the depression , obsessive-compulsive and sleep disorders, disorder in adolescence. It was found that there were statistically significant differences between the average scores of adolescents (exposed - is exposed) of domestic violence in childhood on a scale depression side exposed to domestic violence in childhood, as there were statistically significant differences between the average scores of adolescents (exposed - is exposed) of domestic violence in childhood on a scale obsessive compulsive side exposed to domestic violence in childhood, as well as the presence of statistically significant differences between the average scores of adolescents (exposed - is exposed) of domestic violence in childhood scale sleep disorders (insomnia - hypersomnia - naps sleep - lack of breathing during sleep - nightmares) disorder side exposed to domestic violence in childhood.
