This study aimed to identify the impact of using electronic mind maps on the syntactic acquisition and inferential thinking skills of Al-Majma'ah female students in Az Zulfi College in Saudi Arabia. The study sought to find answers to the two following questions:
What are the effects of using electronic mind maps on the syntactic acquisition of Al-Majma'ah university students?
What are the effects of using electronic mind maps on developing the inferential thinking skills of Al-Majma'ah University students?
To achieve its purposes and test its hypotheses, the participants in the study were selected purposefully from 49 female students at Al-Majma'ah university. The sample was divided in two groups: The first experimental group of 25 students studied using electronic mind maps and the control group of 24 students studied using the traditional method.
Two tools were used for measure results : a test in Arabic syntax and a test in inferential thinking (deduction, inference and induction). Validity was secured by having the instruments shown to expert judges and administered to a scoping sample to extract the reliability coefficient that reached (0.85), Which is acceptable for the purposes of this study. The study has found out that there were statistical differences at (α =0.05) between the two groups due to the use of the electronic mind maps in syntactic acquisition and developing inferential thinking skills, in favor of the experimental group.
