هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى الاستفادة من خبرة الولايات المتحدة الأمريکية في دعم کفايات مديرى مدارس المتفوقين الثانوية في العلوم والتکنولوجيا STEM في مصر، ولتحقيق هذا الهدف استخدمت الدراسة المنهج المقارن ، وذلک من خلال تناول الإطار النظرى لتعليم العلوم والتکنولوجيا والهندسة والرياضيات (STEM) ، وتناول کفايات مديرى مدارس STEM کما وردت في الأدبيات التربوية المعاصرة ، کما عرضت الدراسة لأهم الملامح المميزة لخبرة الولايات المتحدة الأمريکية في دعم کفايات مديري مدارس STEM في ضوء السياق الثقافى ، ثم تطرقت الدراسة للجهود المصرية المبذولة في مجال الاهتمام بدعم کفايات مديرى مدارس STEM في ضوء السياق الثقافي ، بالإضافة إلى توضيح أهم المشکلات التي تواجههم، ثم إبراز أوجه الشبه والاختلاف في مجال الاهتمام بدعم کفايات مديرى مدارس STEM، وفى النهاية توصلت الدراسة إلي بعض الآليات المقترحة التي تسهم في دعم کفايات مديري مدارس المتفوقين الثانوية في العلوم والتکنولوجيا STEM بمصر في ضوء الاستفادة من خبرة الولايات المتحدة الأمريکية.

The current study aimed to benefit from the experience of the United States of America in supporting the competencies of STEM schools principals in Egypt, To achieve this goal the study used the comparative approach, by addressing the theoretical framework for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education , and addressing the competencies of STEM schools principals as mentioned in contemporary educational literature. The study also presented the most important features of the United States of America experience in supporting the competencies of STEM schools principals in light of the cultural context. Then the study touched upon the Egyptian efforts in the field of interest in supporting the competencies of STEM schools principals in light of the cultural context , in addition to clarify the most important problems facing STEM school principals, then to highlight the similarities and differences in the area of interest in supporting the competencies of STEM schools principals, and in the end the study reached some proposed mechanisms that contribute to supporting the competencies of STEM schools principals in Egypt in light of the benefit from the United States of America experience.
