The present research aimed to determin the effectiveness of a training program based on learning centers on developing the scientific practices of the next generation Science standards (NGSS) and the probe thinking of the science teachers 'students at the Faculty of Education. In order to investigate the effect of the independent variable (training program) on the dependent variables (science practices and probe thinking), the research instruments (a scientific practices test, an observation card and a probe thinking scale) were applied on (28) fourth year students at the Faculty of Education. Results of the research revealed the following outcomes: There were statistically significant differences at (0.01) level between the mean scores of the science teachers’ students at Hurghada Faculty of Education in the pre/post test and in the observation card of the scientific practices in favor of the post application. Moreover, there were statistically significant differences at the (0.01) level between the mean scores of the science teachers’ students at Hurghada Faculty of Education in the pre/post measurement of the probe thinking scale in favor of post measurement.Recommendations: Evaluating and developing teacher’s preparation programs at the Faculties of Education in light of the scientific practices of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS),Training the faculty members in the universities on using learning centers according to the hybrid learning system, Developing the scientific and engineering practices and the proactive thinking of the science teachers’ students.
