Abstract
The purpose of the current study was to design a program based on the Needham Constructive Model to develop the skills of teaching the Holy Qur’an and acquire analytical thinking skills among Qur’anic studies students at Qassim University, and measure the effectiveness of this program in developing the skills of teaching the Holy Qur’an and acquiring analytical thinking skills. The following hypotheses have been formulated:
- There are no statistically significant differences at (0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental group students who studied according to the Needham model and the scores of the control group students who studied according to the traditional method in the post administration of the test of teaching skills of the Holy Qur’an
- There are no statistically significant differences at (0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental group students who studied according to the Needham model and the scores of the control group students who studied according to the traditional method in the post administration of the Analytical Thinking Skills Scale.
By using the quisi-experimental approach, 28 students have been participated of which (14) students were in the experimental group and the other 14 participated in the control group. The resutlsof the study indicated that the first and second hypothesis have been refuted. Based on this, the program of the study based on the Needham structural model for development Teaching skills of the Noble Qur’an and acquiring analytical thinking skills among Qur’anic studies students at Qassim University has been proved to be effective.
