The study aims to shed light on the concept of alternative education, and to identify the most prominent features of alternative education models in both the United States of America and India. The study used the comparative method for its suitability to the subject of the study. Analyzing the concept of alternative education, its origins, characteristics, features, success criteria and models, then presenting models of alternative education in the United States of America and India, then presenting a comparative analysis of alternative education models in the United States and India, then presenting the reality of Egyptian efforts in applying alternative education models, revealing The most prominent obstacles facing Egyptian efforts in applying alternative education models, and the study concluded that alternative education targets a large number of academic students who seek professional and technical education, and serves students at risk of academic failure or marginalized and dropouts from traditional education, and supports students who suffer of learning difficulties, emotional, behavioral and social problems, and students who commit serious disciplinary infractions, crimes and problems There are disciplinary and judicial procedures, and alternative education is based on individuality and flexibility in meeting the needs of students, and the last step included the development of proposed procedures to implement alternative education models in Egypt by benefiting from the experience of both the United States of America and India in this field.
