The study aimed to explain the rationale for promoting Cyber Security Culture (PCSC), during digital transformation at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University (PSAU), identifying the differences in the sample members’ viewpoints about the reasons for PCSC, during PSAU’s digital transformation, according to the variables (college, specialization and years of experience). To achieve this, the descriptive approach was used, and a questionnaire was designed that consisted of (26) items, which were divided into three areas, it was applied to a sample of faculty members at PSAU, which amounted to (125) members. The study concluded that the reasons for PCSC during digital transformation at PSAU from the point of view of the faculty members obtained a general average (3.55 out of 5), meaning a medium degree, as for the axes; the societal reasons for PCSC during PSAU's digital transformation got the highest average (3.70), it is followed by the cognitive motives for PCSC at PSAU, it has a general average of (3.51). Finally, the technical reasons axis, it got an average of (3.46), the results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences according to the variable of college and academic rank, while there were differences due to the variable years of experience. The study recommends the importance of raising awareness of cyber security, realizing the benefits of available software to combat cyber risks, and designing campaigns to raise awareness of cyber risks.
