The current research aimed to identify the effectiveness of using the infographic-supported educational scaffolding strategy for teaching art education in developing artistic culture and artistic expression. The current research adopted the quasi-experimental one-group design; the artistic culture test and the artistic expression observation sheet were administered to the research sample (n=36) from the first-year preparatory pupils at the Martyr Gamal Mohamed Abu Halaika Preparatory School in Minya in the first semester of the academic year 2020/2021.The pupils of the research group were taught using the infographic-supported educational scaffolding strategy, then the artistic culture test and the artistic expression observation sheet were readministered to the research sample, and the research reached the following results:
- There is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the students of the research group on the pre- and post-applications of the artistic culture test in favor of the post-application.
- A statistically significant difference was found between the mean scores of the students of the research group on the pre- and post-applications of the artistic expression observation sheet in favor of the post-application.
The current research reached the following recommendations
1- Using infographic-supported educational scaffolding to teach art education to first-year preparatory school pupils because of its effectiveness in developing artistic culture and artistic expression.
2- Training student-teachers specializing in Art Education at the College of Art Education to use infographic-supported educational scaffolding in teaching art education.
3- Training in-service teachers in the use of infographic-supported educational scaffolding in teaching art education.
