The current study aimed to develop a proposed vision to activate the role of the university in developing environmental awareness for its students to face the repercussions of climate change. Where the study relied in its methodology on the descriptive approach, and to achieve this main goal, the study presented a theoretical framework on the conceptual framework of environmental awareness and the definition of climate changes, their causes, and their various repercussions on all sectors of society. As for the field framework, two tools (questionnaire and open interview tool) were applied through which some results were identified, the most important of which are: the absence of environmental education and upbringing programs in most educational curricula, and the lack of opportunities for faculty members to participate and follow up with their students during the practice of student activities related to the environment, and the distance Course applications on environmental issues and sustainable development challenges; At the forefront of the obstacles that impede the achievement of environmental awareness for students.As for the requirements necessary to activate the role of the university, which were utilized in building the proposed vision, they were represented in organizing awareness convoys to educate community members about the problems of the environment and climate changes, including climate and environment issues within the map of student activities at the college and university levels, and including research topics on changes. climate in the university's research plan.
