The present study aimed to identify the effectiveness of an art-based programme in improving the social communication skills of Down syndrome children, while recognizing the continued effectiveness of the programme in tracking (after three months). The study sample consisted of eight children with Down syndrome at the Institute of Intellectual Education, two boys in the spectrum at an average age (10.73), and a standard deviation of 10.73 years. (1,03). The study tools were: the social communication skills measure (preparation/researcher) and the art therapy programme (preparation/researcher). The results of the study demonstrated the effectiveness of the art therapy programme in improving the social communication skills of Down syndrome children. This was illustrated by the statistically significant differences between the grades of the pilot group ' s children on the scale of social communication skills in tribal and remote measurements and in the interest of telemetry. There are no statistically significant differences between the levels of the pilot group ' s children in dimensional and tracking measurements. In the light of those findings, the study made a number of recommendations.
