The current study aimed to verify the factorial structure of the metacognitive thinking scale, Thinking Scale, prepared by Schraw & Dennison, 1994 through the use of confirmatory factor analysis. And using the Amos statistical program and employing the scale, which consists of (42) statements, to identify the degree to which students at the University of Tabuk possess metacognitive thinking skills from their point of view, in light of the variables of gender and specialization. The study sample consisted of (455) male and female students from University of Tabuk. The study used the descriptive method The results showed that the degree to which students at the University of Tabuk possessed metacognitive thinking skills was high, and that there were no statistically significant differences in the degree to which students possessed the skills according to the gender variable, and the presence of statistically significant differences in the degree to which students possessed metacognitive thinking skills according to the specialization variable (scientific, Humanitarian) in the dimension of knowledge organization, and for the benefit of the humanities disciplines.
