The concept of educational justice emerges as a paramount value among the values of democracy, linked to the values of freedom, participation, and equity. This concept only became a critical societal issue after centuries of local and global conflicts. Studying historical experiences that embody this concept- especially those from the era of the Rightly Guided Caliphs has played an important role in highlighting various indicators of educational justice, particularly by delving into its deep roots in Islamic heritage. The current reseach aims to elucidate some indicators of educational justice during the era of Omar ibn al-Khattab by analyzing some Arabic writings that discussed his biography, based on the historical approach and philosophical analysis method. The sample of the research consisted of four books, which are: When I Met Umar ibn al-Khattab by Adham El-Sharqawi, The Farooq Umar by Muhammad Hussein Heikal, The Genius of Umar by Abbas Mahmoud Al-Aqqad, and The Virtues of the Commander of the Believers by Ibn Al-Jawzi.The research concluded with a set of indicators that represent the content of a "comprehensive framework" for educational justice during that period. Foremost among these was the connection of educational justice in Omar’s time to broader concepts beyond mere education. It was part of a comprehensive, integrated system of social justice that considered all aspects related to education and society. The indicators of educational justice under Omar included access to education, quality and standard indicators, educational outcomes, equitable distribution of resources, inclusiveness, financial support and funding, and ensuring the rights of teachers and learners. The concept of educational justice during Omar’s era transitioned from the epistemological, knowledge-based realm to the ontological event or practical reality. The researchers also proposed a set of measures that could contribute to rectifying the distortions in current educational systems regarding the implementation of justice. This leaves us with the question: When will there be an alternative “framework" for educational justice in the Egyptian education systems?
