This research aimed to explore the effectiveness of a proposed program based on the theory of daawah argumentation in enhancing awareness of competencies related to the renewal of religious discourse among preachers of Al-Azhar. To meet such an end, the researcher employed the descriptive methodology to identify the competencies of religious discourse renewal. Additionally, a scale was used to measure the level of awareness of these competencies among male and female preachers. The study also employed a quasi-experimental approach to apply the theory of daawah argumentation to a research sample consisting of 50 preachers from Al-Azhar in Fayoum Governorate, divided equally into 25 male and 25 female participants. After implementing the proposed program, the findings revealed statistically significant differences at the level of (α = 0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental and control groups in the post-application of the awareness scale concerning religious discourse renewal competencies. The research recommended the adoption of the theory of daawah argumentation across various educational levels in Al-Azhar, particularly in Islamic studies subjects such as jurisprudence, theology, and Islamic culture.
