The research aims to uncover the educational values in Ahmed Shawqi's poetry through his collection of poems, Al-Shawqiyat. In this study, the researcher used the inductive and deductive approach. In this study, the researcher addressed the first question: Who is Ahmed Shawqi and what are the foundations that shaped his thought? It was presented in two sections: his lineage and life, and the foundations that shaped his thought, such as the aspects (innate, cultural, political), as stated in the second question: What are the educational values in Ahmed Shawqi’s poetry? His presentation came through eleven educational values that the researcher deduced through his poetry, while mentioning the poetic evidence indicating them, as stated in the third question: How are these educational values developed among learners through proposed educational methods? His presentation came through nine proposals that included the educational values that were derived related to science and education.
The most important results of the study were:
Education and poetry are linked in a closely related relationship through which they serve each other. Poetry is a major component of Islamic educational thought, and poetry is one of the pillars of the Arabic language, which is considered one of the components of Islamic identity.
Ahmed Shawqi's thought was fertile and multifaceted, as he presented it through his poetry, understanding, and knowledge in many fields, including education.
Ahmed Shawqi has dealt with the traditional purposes of poetry, such as poetry, lamentation, wisdom, and description, and has excelled in innovative purposes such as politics, history, sociology, and poetic plays.
Ahmed Shawqi affirms and calls for reverence for the teacher, as he constitutes the focus of the educational process, and its success is linked to him. The teacher has an invaluable wealth.
