This study aimed to measure self-regulation skills and achievement motivation levels among a sample of 1012 undergraduate university students in Oman, considering major and GPA. It also sought to determine the relationship between these two variables. Using a descriptive correlational approach, the study applied a researcher-developed self-regulation skills scale and a shortened achievement motivation scale (Al-Saudi, 2023). Results indicated moderate levels of self-regulation skills among students. No statistically significant differences in self-regulation skills were found based on major, but differences were observed based on GPA, specifically for students with excellent GPAs. Achievement motivation was also found to be at a moderate level, with no statistically significant differences based on major or GPA. The study revealed a correlation between self-regulation skills and achievement motivation among the students.
