The study aimed to propose a strategy for enhancing human resources performance during the Hajj season using the competency management approach. It adopted a descriptive method, utilizing a questionnaire for data collection due to its suitability for the study’s objectives and the phenomenon’s nature. The sample comprised 384 workers from the 1446 AH Hajj, representing diverse roles (administrative, security, health, and service) to ensure inclusivity. The study measured the availability of competency management dimensions (cognitive, skill-based, behavioral) among workers, using arithmetic means, standard deviation, and ANOVA to examine differences across demographic variables (age, education level, years of Hajj experience, and number of Hajj-related training courses). Results showed a high availability of competency dimensions, with the behavioral dimension recording the highest mean, followed by skills, then cognitive. ANOVA revealed statistically significant differences in competency levels based on demographic variables, highlighting the need for flexible, tailored training programs. The study recommended adopting this strategy to ensure sustainable human resource development for future Hajj seasons.
