This research aimed at identifying the intellectual framework of electronic educational platforms, and revealing the challenges facing Egyptian secondary school and Al-Azhar students while using these platforms from the teachers’ perspective, who are most closely involved with students. Descriptive method was used, and a questionnaire was applied to (443) male and female teachers, who were chosen randomly. For results, family and societal challenges came first, student-related challenges came second, and material and technical challenges came third with (high) degree for all. Teacher- related challenges came fourth, and finally, school administration-related challenges came fifth with (medium) degree for all. Also, there were no statistically significant differences between the sample responses in the variables: (gender, type of education, years of experience). Study presented important recommendations that could improve the electronic platforms performance, which included providing the appropriate technical infrastructure for platforms operation, and considering diversity in educational content preparation to suit the learners’ characteristics. Also, they included raising community awareness of the electronic platforms importance in education, creating the educational environment for successful activation of electronic platforms at school or home, and continuously monitoring the working methods of electronic platforms.
