Abstract:
This study aimed to identify gender differences in body image disorder, the correlation relationship between body image disorder, hyper emotional sensitivity, and negative affects, and the extent to which body image disorder contribute to the prediction of hyper emotional sensitivity, and negative affects. The sample consists of (33) male, and (28) female from blind adolescents, from Giza and Cairo governorate, mean average (16.62) years, and stander deviation (1.56). The tools of the study are: body image disorder scale among visual impaired adolescents prepared by(Elbheary & Elhudaybi,2015), hyper emotional sensitivity scale prepared by the researcher, and negative affects scale prepared by (Abaza,2007). The following results were reached:
There were statistically significant differences between males and females blind adolescents of body image disorder at (0.01) level favoring females.
There were statistically significant positive correlation at (0.01) level between body image disorder, and hyper emotional sensitivity to blind adolescents.
There were statistically significant positive correlation at (0.01) level between body image disorder, and negative affects to blind adolescents.
The scores of body image disorder contributed to predicting their scores in hyper emotional sensitivity to blind adolescents.
The scores of body image disorder contributed to predicting their scores in negative affects to blind adolescents.
