This study aimed to design a counseling program based on the acceptance and commitment therapy to develop the strength of personality traits and psychological well-being and detective its effectiveness when applied in the traditional, face-to-face and online way, on two samples of female secondary school teachers. A random sample of consisted of (205) secondary school teachers in the Asir region was selected. The study tools were applied to them. A sample was chosen from them who received low scores in strength of personality traits and psychological well-being. There ages ranged between (34- 52) years, with an average age of (42.56) years, and a standard deviation of (5.08), they were randomized divided to two experimental groups, one the traditional application group and the other the online application group. Each group consisted of (40). The researcher applied a demographic data form, a strength of personality scale (prepared by Al-Walidi and Arnout, 2016), a psychological well-being for teachers scale(prepared by researcher) and a program based on acceptance and commitment therapy (consisted of 12 sessions). There were statistically significant differences (at level 0.05) between the degrees of pre and post-application in both strength of personality traits and psychological well-being. The results also found that there were no statistically significant differences between the experimental groups scores for the traditional and Internet applications in follow-up. As for the differences between the two traditional and the Internet applications, the results showed statistically significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the two experimental groups of the traditional and Internet applications in strength of personality traits and psychological well-being in the post-application in favor of the experimental group of the application over the Internet. A statistical significant differences at the level of (0.05) between the average scores of the experimental group members of the traditional and Internet applications in the follow-up application in both strength of personality traits and psychological well-being in favor of the application group over the Internet. These indicating that the effectiveness of the application of the program and its impact was higher for the online than traditional application. The results obtained were interpreted in light of the theoretical framework and previous studies, and a number of recommendations were made.
