The current study aimed to identifying the relationship between moral intelligence and achievement goal orientations, discover the differences between males and females in moral intelligence, and the differences between them in achievement goal orientations, identifying the predictive ability of moral intelligence through achievement goal orientations. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher prepared the moral intelligence measure, the achievement goal orientations scale was used prepared by Rabih Rashwan (2006). The study sample consisted of 250 students (125males and 125 females) at the second year of literary divisions at Sohag Faculty of Education.
The study found a significant positive correlation at 0.01 level between students’scores on the sub-dimensions of the moral intelligence scale and their scores on the two dimensions of Mastery goals (Mastery/ Approach and Mastery/ Avoidance), as well as between their overall scores on the moral intelligence scale and their scores on these two dimensions. The results showed that there were no significant differences due to the gender (male, female) in moral intelligence, as well as in the sub-dimensions of it. There were also a significant differences in (Mastery/Approach, Mastery/Avoidance) in favor of females, and in (Performance/ Approach) in favor of males. The results also showed that (Mastery/Approach and Mastery/Avoidance) explain 51.2% of the changes in the moral intelligence.
