Abstract
The purpose of this research is to investigate the Islamic educational perspective of the concept of meaninglessness and to clarify the most important aspects and determinants of this concept and to provide a critical view to reflect the shortcomings contained in the theory of meaning in its interpretation of the concept of loss of meaning. Thus, highlight the aspects that address this deficiency in the theory of meaning through Islamic Education sources. The research was based on the deductive approach methodology and concluded the following results:
The meaninglessness is the root that generates a lot of psychological and social problems. It also reflects the religious and spiritual deficiency which is already one of the reasons leading to this concept of meaninglessness.
Islamic education is rich in the contents that constitute the deepest and most comprehensive meaning of life, and is not matched in this regard any philosophy of positivism, as it represents a spiritual remedy for the reasons for the meaninglessness.
The theory of meaning was centered around the individual meaning of life, and omitted the elaboration of a general concept of life, which made it sink into the relativism of nihilism, and therefore no general fixed meaning of life can be relied upon.
The meaning of life is fundamentally based on the nature of faith in the Creator, that it is the originator of existence, and consequently the role and vision of man in life is determined.
Death anxiety is one of the most important threats to meaning, and one of the most important shortcomings in the theory of meaning is that it did not provide an explanation for death and its aftermath, and its connection to life, unlike the Islamic educational view.
