The current research aimed to determine the effectiveness of a program based on pretend play therapy in developing independent living skills, and its effect in reducing self-harm behavior among a sample of children with hypothetical autism. The primary study sample consisted of (8) children diagnosed with hypothetical autism; Due to the excessive use of electronic screens, the program was applied to them, and study tools were prepared, which were (the pretend play therapy program: prepared by the researcher, the independent living skills scale: prepared by the researcher, and the self-harm scale: prepared by the researcher), and the study reached many important results. It was: the effectiveness of the program used in developing some independent living skills, which are skills (dressing and undressing, general etiquette, and the skill of making friends), and it also led to a reduction in self-harm behavior, as well as the continuity of the program in the follow-up phase in developing independent living skills and reducing self-harm. Self, and came up with a set of recommendations.
