The current research aimed to develop and standardize Parental Self-Compassion Scale, and identify its factor structure, and verify its psychometric properties among a sample of parents. This research was conducted on a sample of parents who were graduate students at the Faculty of Education, Sohag University, consisting of (435) parents, aged between (23-51) years, with a mean age of (30.47) years and a standard deviation of (7.570). The research tool used was the Parental Self-Compassion (prepared by the researchers). The results of the statistical analysis of the data revealed the presence of six factors comprising the Parental Self-Compassion scale: self-compassion, self-judgment, common humanity, isolation, mental alertness, and excessive autism. The results also showed that the scale has high indicators of validity and reliability among the study sample members. This indicates its validity as a tool for measuring parental self-compassion.
