Abstract

This study aimed to Reconstruction a unit in physical science based on visual representation network and identifying the effectiveness in developing Related thinking functions and reflection in physical phenomena of primary school students. To achieve that, A unit in physical science was reformulated based on visual representation networks, also the measurement tools for the study have been prepared, which the thinking functions test and reflection in physical phenomena scale. The sample of the study consisted of two groups, one of them was experimental and the other was controlled, the first group studied A unit in physical science based on visual representation networks, the other group studied the same unit in the usual way; then the results of the two groups were compared through the data that was obtained from the application of thinking functions test and reflection in physical phenomena scale in the pre- and the post applications.
The results of the study were as follows:
1- There are statistically significant differences at level (0.05), between the average of the degrees of both the controlled and the experimental groups in the post application of thinking functions relatd to Visual representation networks test as a whole and for each dimension separately, in favor of the experimental group.
2- There are statistically significant differences at level (0.05), between the average of the degrees of both the controlled and the experimental groups in the post application of the reflection in physical phenomena scale as a whole and for each dimension separately, in favor of the experimental group.
