Abstract

This study aimed to identify the degree of inclusion the science criteria for the next generation in Saudi Chemistry curricula of secondary school. To achieve that descriptive approach was used to analyze the content of Chemistry curricula of secondary school, The NGSS list was prepared, and content analysis tool for Chemistry curricula of secondary school was designed according to NGSS list, then the content was analyzed. The research result showed that the science criteria for the next generation were didn’t included in Chemistry curricula of secondary school as following:
-NGSS availability were varied in Chemistry curriculum 1 of secondary school, so three standards were low, they were first, second and seventh standards, while third, fourth, fifth, sixth and eighth standards were not available in Chemistry curriculum 1.
- NGSS availability were varied in Chemistry curriculum 2 of secondary school, so three standards were low, they were first, third and seventh standards, while second, fourth, fifth, sixth and eighth standards were not available in Chemistry curriculum 2
-NGSS availability were varied in Chemistry curriculum 3 of secondary school, so two standards were low, they were fifth and sixth seventh standards, while first, second, third, fourth,  seventh and eighth standards were not available in Chemistry curriculum 3
-NGSS availability were varied in Chemistry curriculum 4 of secondary school, so second standard was low, while first, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth standards were not available in Chemistry curriculum 4. In the light of the findings some recommendations and suggestions were mentioned.
