The Effectiveness of Challenge Based Learning Model to Improve Growth Mindset and Cognitive Agility among Students of Specific Education Faculty, Alexandria University
This Research aimed at identifying the Effectiveness of Challenge Based Learning Model to Improve Growth Mindset and Cognitive Agility, and also detecting the degree of difference in the Effectiveness of Challenge Based Learning Model to Improve Growth Mindset and Cognitive Agility among Students of Specific Education Faculty, Alexandria University according to gender variable (Male / Female).
And this Research was applied on a sample consists of (62) students in the fourth year at Faculty of Specific Education Alexandria University with Average Age (21.38±1.77). The researcher used Growth mindset scale, cognitive agility scale prepared by the researcher, Raven Coloured Progressive Matrices test(stdndarized by Emad ahmed Hassan, 2016) and the enrichment program based on challenge based learning model prepared by the researcher. In the statistical analysis of the data, the researcher depended on the t_Test for independent and dependent Samples, Mann-Whitney- U Test, and ETA square (η2).
The Results of the Research indicated That there are statistically significant differences between the mean degrees of experimental and control groups students in the post-test of Growth mindset and cognitive agility in favor of the experimental group students, there are a statistically significant diferences between mean degrees of experimental group in the pre-test and post-test of Growth mindset and cognitive agility in favor of the post-test While there were no statistically significant differences between the mean ranks degrees of the experimental group students in the post-test of Growth mindset and cognitive agility according to gender variable (male / female).The results were discussed and interpreted in the light of the theoretical framework and previous studies. in the light of the research results, some educational recommendations and research suggestions were presented.
