"A proposed vision for transforming Egyptian public universities into smart universities in light of the universities' digital transformation initiative"
The current study sought to present a proposed vision for converting Egyptian universities into smart universities in the light of the digital transformation initiative for universities through reviewing the concept of smart universities and their characteristics and requirements and reviewed the requirements for achieving the digital transformation initiative for Egyptian universities and defining the requirements for converting Egyptian public universities to smart universities in the light of the digital transformation initiative It is from the viewpoint of faculty members in some Egyptian universities.
The study used to achieve its goals through the descriptive approach procedures, using the questionnaire that was prepared and codified and applied to a sample of faculty members in some Egyptian universities, to identify the most important requirements for converting Egyptian public universities to smart universities from their point of view, where the current study sample was represented in faculty members with some The Egyptian public universities, which are: (Menoufia - Cairo - Sohag), which amounted to (372) faculty members, by representing (3%) of the original community of faculty members and (11899) members in the academic year (2019/2020), The sample was chosen in a random way, and the number was only Statistical data for discharge and statistical analysis (296).
The study concluded that the requirements for converting Egyptian public universities into smart universities are represented in digital vision - smart infrastructure - smart human elements - smart learning educational environment - smart management, and the study presented a proposed vision to convert Egyptian public universities into smart universities in the light of the transformation initiative Digital, including its premises, dimensions and components, mechanisms and procedures for its implementation.
