Abstract

The current study sought to present a proposed vision for improving the quality of work life of the faculty members at the Faculty of Graduate Studies of Education - Cairo University, To achieve its goals, the study relied on the descriptive approach through applying a questionnaire to know the opinions of the sample faculty members about the degree of availability of the dimensions of the quality of work life, Which were represented in five dimensions: the quality of the work environment and conditions, the quality of services provided by the university and the college, the quality of the existing relationships within the work environment with colleagues and heads of work and administration, the quality of payroll and compensation systems, achieving job satisfaction.
The study made sure that the sample is representative of the study community, where the researcher sent an electronic questionnaire to all members of the teaching staff and the faculty assisting the college, which number (167), and the number of respondents (87) was a faculty member and an assisting body from various departments and degrees in the college.
The study concluded that the degree of approval of the sample members of the faculty on the availability of the dimensions of The quality of the work life of the faculty members of the College of Higher Studies for Education in the questionnaire as a whole was a moderate degree, and the fifth dimension of achieving job satisfaction was ranked first in the arrangement from the degree of availability to quality dimensions work life according to the responses of the sample with an average degree, as did each of the fourth dimension of the quality of the salary and bonus system, and the second dimension of the quality of services provided by the university and the college on a weak degree, and came in the last order of the degree of availability of dimensions.
The study also concluded that there are no statistically significant differences between the averages of the responses of faculty members about the availability of dimensions of quality of work life attributable to the variable of the academic rank in the questionnaire as a whole except in the third dimension "the quality of the existing relationships within the work environment with colleagues and heads of work and management" there were differences Statistically significant at the level of 0.05 among the faculty members "assistant professors and teachers" for the benefit of teachers, and there were statistically significant differences between the averages of the responses of faculty members about the availability of quality work life due to the variable of the scientific section in the questionnaire as a whole, except that in the dimensions of the quality of the existing relationships within Work environment with colleagues, heads of work and administration, the quality of salary and bonus systems, and achieving job satisfaction There were no statistically significant differences, and finally the study provided a suggested vision to improve the dimensions of the quality of work life in the faculty members.
