Abstract

The aim of the current research is to investigate the effectiveness of the use of differentiated education in teaching social studies to develop social and motivational skills for achievement among sixth graders. The research sample consisted of (80) students from the sixth elementary grade students. They were divided into two groups, an experimental group consisting of (40) students and studied using differentiated education, and a control group and consisted of (40) students and studied in the usual way, and the semi-experimental research method was used to achieve the goals of the research, and to prepare its materials and tools that were represented in: the prepared student booklet According to differentiated instruction, a teacher's guide, a social skills test, and a measure of motivation for achievement.
The results of the research showed that there is a statistically significant difference at the level (0,05) between the average scores of the experimental group students who studied the selected unit using differentiated education, and the degrees of the pupils of the control group that studied the same unit in the usual way in the post application of the social skills test as a whole and in each skill from His skills for the benefit of students of the experimental group, and the presence of a statistically significant difference at the level (0,05) between the average scores of the students of the experimental group that studied the selected unit using differentiated education, and the grades of the students of the control group that studied the same unit in the usual way in the post-application of the motivation measure of achievement as a whole and in each One of his skills for the benefit of students of the experimental group, the research has ended with a set of recommendations, the most important of which is the use of modern teaching strategies and methods in teaching history in the primary stage, which comes from the most important differentiated education strategies to develop social skills and motivation skills for achievement as one of the main goals that history material seeks to achieve, Training programs for teachers of social studies and history were held in Athens Initial service In order to provide them with the skills and competencies necessary to successfully use a differentiated education strategy in teaching, and to develop their ability to design teaching in this manner.
