Abstract

            The study aimed to assess the degree at which mathematics teachers practiced activities based on multiple intelligence theory in Arar City. Also, to identify the differences between the degrees of mathematics teachers ’practice for activities based on multiple intelligence theory according to the variable of years of experience in Arar City. The study sample consisted of a random sample of (120) female mathematics teachers in Arar. Applying a questionnaire to determine the degree of mathematics teachers practicing activities based on multiple intelligence theory was done. The study resulted in a great level of practice of logical/mathematical intelligence and motor/physical intelligence. While linguistic/verbal, visual/spatial intelligence and social/external intelligence appeared with a medium level of practice. In addition, both self/internal and environmental/natural intelligence came with a weak level of practice while musical/rhythmic intelligence came with a very weak degree of practice. The study recommended  training sessions to be held to educate teachers about the theory of multiple intelligences, how to apply them during math teaching, and to provide ways to reveal the types of intelligence among students.
