Organizational Loyalty among the Faculty Members of Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University according to Etzioni's Model

Abstract

            The present study aims to identify the reality of organizational loyalty among the faculty members of Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University according to the domains of Etzioni's model, i.e. moral, calculative, and alienative domains. It also identifies the statistically significant differences in the participants' responses to the reality of organizational reality according to the (academic degree, years of experience, and type of college) variables and the faculty suggestions to enhance loyalty. The authors adopted the analytical descriptive approach and applied an online questionnaire via the Deanship of Scientific Research to a randomly selected sample of (320) faculty members at Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University. The results showed that the participants' responses were high to the items of the moral and calculative domains, but they were moderate to the items of the alienative one. The faculty suggestions to enhance organizational loyalty were distributed to the material, moral, management, and social perspectives. Moreover, the study made suggestions to foster organizational loyalty.
