Abstract

This study aimed to explore some problems that encounter the anti-Covid-19 medical teams’ families and provide some educational suggestions for overcoming them. The study utilized the ethnographic and case-study research approaches to meet its ends, making the use of semi-structured interviews for data collection from 10 anti-Covid-19 medical teams’ families at Beheira Governorate. The results revealed that the most emotional and psychological problems among the study participants were feelings of fear, anxiety, tension, and guilt towards their sons and daughters. The results also referred that the most common perceptual problems were their shock of the continuous harm from their neighbors, the behaviors of their friends and their children friends, and the way to address such behaviors.  For the behavioral problems, there were violence towards family members and their inability to find solutions to their children’s problems. The most physical problems that have been discovered were their suffering from a set of health problems resulting from the life pressures they are exposed to, such as high blood pressure and diabetes, which affected their physical conditions. Considering the spiritual problem, there were the feeling of hopelessness, and the futility of solutions for confronting strange behaviors towards them in society. Finally, most of the social problems experienced by the families of medical teams were social isolation, bullying, and loss of confidence in the others. The study concluded with a set of educational suggestions to overcome the aforementioned problems encountering families of medical teams.
