The Effect Of Using Inquiry Method in Acquisition of Science Processes among 8th Grade Male Students in Jordan Having Different Learning Styles

Abstract

The aim of this study was to explore the effect of using inquiry in the acquisition of science processes by students of different learning styles, and to determine the learning styles that were most affected by inquiry method. The sample of this study consisted of (54) 8th grade students. The researcher applied the guided inquiry method on the sample under study, and The Honey’s Learning Styles Questionnaire was used. The science processes test, which was translated to Arabic by Eman Gayth was also utilized.
There was significant difference at (p >  0.05 ) between the mean of active learning style and the mean of reflector learning style, indicating that the mean of reflector style was significantly higher. Also between the mean of active learning style and the mean of theoretical learning style,  indicating that the mean of the theoretical style was significantly higher, but  there was no significant difference among the means of the other groups .
