The present study, therefore, sought to examine to what extent the general secondary schools in Gharbiyyah Governorate in Egypt contribute in developing general life skills among their students from the viewpoint of students and teachers. The study made use of the descriptive research method. It developed a questionnaire for this purposes, consisting of three basic domains of general life skills, and three sub-domains in each. The questionnaire was applied to (734) students and (566) teachers of general secondary schools in three districts in Gharbiyyah governorate. Results showed that students rated school contribution moderately (M = 3.48), that teachers rated it highly (M = 3.55), and that there were no statistically significant differences between students and teachers. In light of the above results, recommendations and further research were suggested.
