Abstract

Abstract
The aim of the research is to explain the concept of personal freedom from the perspective of Islamic education. And reviewing the most prominent contemporary changes in the intellectual, social and economic fields. And the disclosure of statistically significant differences between students of Umm Al-Qura University regarding the concept of personal freedom according to their demographic variables. The descriptive and analytical approach was used, and the research sample consisted of (245) students from Umm Al-Qura University, during the year 1441 AH, who were chosen by the simple random method, and the questionnaire was used to collect data. The most important results were:
- The estimates of the research sample's vocabulary of the effect of the variables (intellectual, social, and economic) on the concept of personal freedom among the students of Umm Al-Qura University were generally moderate.
- The existence differences statistically significant at the significance level (0.05 ≥ α) between the mean estimates of vocabulary research sample of the impact of variables (social) on the concept of personal freedom of the students of the University of Umm Al-Qura due to the variable type of specialization.
In light of the results, the researcher presented a number of recommendations and proposals, the most important of which were: The necessity for educators to pay attention to the concept of personal freedom and ways to develop it among young people in light of the rapid changes that have affected many of the constants and values of society. And the call for those in charge of education to benefit from the results of the research in the development of regulations governing the practices within the educational institution in order to achieve the conditions of discipline and enjoy the right to personal freedom at the same time.
