The components of the school environment and its relationship to learning styles in the light of the mental fitness model (Memletics) for secondary school students in Damietta Governorate
The aim of the current research is to identify the components of the school environment and preferred learning styles in the light of the mental fitness model among high school students, in addition to revealing the nature of the relationship between the components of the school environment and the learning styles of female students.
The sample of the research consisted of (150) students in the second year of secondary school in Al-Lawzi, the mother of believers, and Othman Ibn Affan schools whose average age was (16.12) with a standard deviation (2.23) in the Damietta Educational Administration in Damietta Governorate.
The study tools consisted of the school environment components scale , which reached the Cronbach alpha stability coefficient (0.915) (prepared by: the researcher) and the preferred learning styles scale , which reached the Cronbach alpha stability coefficient (0.874) (prepared by: the researcher).
The research found the following:
1 - The responses of the study sample to the reality of the components of the school environment as seen by students of secondary education schools in Damietta Governorate came moderate for the dimensions of (the student - the teacher). As for the scale as a whole and the dimensions (school administration - school building - school curriculum) their responses were weak.
2- The most preferred learning styles for female students was in the visual style, then the self-style, then the physical method, then the logical method, then the auditory method, then the social method, and finally the verbal method.
3- There is no correlation between the components of the school environment and learning styles in light of the mental model of secondary school students.
