Abstract

Followers of the recent developments since late 2019,during 2020 and what is still ongoing find an unexpected event dominating the whole world. There was no preparation for such an event that -substantially – affected all forms of activities: social, economic, educational, religious, and athletic in all countries around the world without any exception. Such activities were running normally under normal circumstances, using usual mechanisms and tools, at the relevant locations of such activities, and overseen by the officials responsible for such activities in all areas of life. This event is the spread of "the novel coronavirus" scientifically known as COVID-19. The educational activity and process, like all other activities and other different areas of life, has been greatly struck in various countries of the world by the spread of COVID-19. Some countries have completely suspended instruction at schools and universities, while others have suspended face-face instruction at schools and universities and continued the education process through distance learning, which implemented a full e-learning system for the education process in the different stages of education. Amid the event (COVID-19) that the whole world is encountering without warning or hint to prepare for, the role of scientific research has emerged, and research in all domains and disciplines have been – and still being – conducted in response and fulfilment of its mandated role. In order to complement to the studies and research in this domain, we would like to provide proposed vision and recommendations for tertiary education amid COVID-19 crisis.
