The Effect of Social Distancing on Aspects of the Educational Process at the Faculties of Education during the Coronavirus - COVID-19 Crisis (Field Study at the Faculty of Education, Sohag University)

Abstract

The present study aims to explore the crisis of COVID-19 and identify its most significant implications for educational institutions. It defines the concept of social distancing, its procedures, and its impact on education at the faculties of education in Egypt. It also defines the requirements of successful education at the faculties of education under social distancing of COVID-19; identifies the impact of social distancing on education at the Faculty of Education, Sohag University under COVID-19; examines the reality of the available requirements of successful education at the Faculty of Education, Sohag University under social distancing of COVID-19. It makes a proposal for successful education at the faculties of education in Egypt under social distancing.
The study was limited to the impact of social distancing on the aspects of education at the faculties of education and the requirements of successful education under the social distancing of COVID-19. To identify this reality, a field study was applied to a sample of (547) students at the Faculty of Education, Sohag University,The researcher adopted the analytical descriptive approach, The study concluded that
-          The impact of achieving the aspects of education at the Faculty of Education, Sohag University under the social distancing of COVID-19 was low.
-          The availability of the requirements of successful education under the social distancing of COVID-19 was low.
Based on the results of the theoretical and field study, a proposal was made for successful education at the faculties of education in Egypt under social distancing.
