A Suggested Perspective for achieving the competitive advantage of Al-Azhar University , In light of the concept of Strategic vigilance

Abstract

       Achieving a competitive advantage has become one of the most important goals of the university institutions , that it seeks to achieve in order to rise to the highest levels of performance, to surpass the universities locally and internationally, and to obtain advanced positions in global rankings . the concept of strategic vigilance is one of the modern concepts that contribute to improve the competitive performance of universities , and create an environment suitable for innovation, by monitoring all expected changes in the university's scientific and technological environment, and responding to them in a scientific way that guarantees their survival and continuity. Therefore, the current study aimed to develop a proposed vision to achieve the competitive advantage of Al-Azhar University in the light of the concept of strategic vigilance. The study included several steps that included the theoretical and conceptual framework for strategic vigilance and the theoretical foundations of competitive advantage in universities, and their measured indicators , and the availability of its indicators at Al-Azhar University . The study used the descriptive approach, and the results of the study indicated the lack of indicators of competitive advantage in Al-Azhar University, and a proposed concept was presented to achieve the competitive advantage of Al-Azhar University in the light of the concept of strategic vigilance according to a number of basic axes , the most important of which are activating the dimensions of strategic vigilance, developing media methods and promoting university services, and measuring competitive advantage indicators.
