Managing Competitive Intelligence as a Strategic Mechanism to Achieve Sustainable Competitive Advantage in Egyptian Universities and Face Challenges Coronavirus (covid 19)

Abstract

   In light of the current events of the repercussions of the new Corona virus, the global economy has witnessed a slowdown in growth, and between global and local political and economic changes, and between natural and other disasters, which requires university institutions to continuously evaluate and change their administrative methods and plans in order to gain competitive advantage. Sustainable.     The universities are now in difficult times during which they are testing the strength of management and planning for the future in dealing with challenges and developments, which necessitated them to monitor the internal and external environment, collect information, and take appropriate and immediate decisions to improve their performance compared to other competitors.  And because competitive intelligence is a strategic tool that allows organizations to deal with information in a scientific and practical that contributes to making sound decisions and more informed by the current and future situation. Therefore, the study seeks how to benefit from Competitive Intelligence Management to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage for Egyptian universities, as a mechanism for facing various challenges, To achieve this goal, the study relied on the descriptive approach. In the end, the study reached a vision for establishing a unit for managing competitive intelligence operations at the university.
