Abstract

This research aimed to develop creative writting expression skills and the tendency towards it among sixth graders using electronic story-based program supported by electronic mind maps and to measure the effectiveness of the program. The research used the Quasi-experimental approach. Further, the instructional materials included a list of creative writing expression skills suitable for sixth graders, student’s book, and the teacher's guide. These materials developed according to the program based on the electronic story supported by mind maps. Further, the instruments were a test of creative writting expression skills and a scale of tendency after checking their validity and reliability. The research experiment was implemented using the pretest-posttest non-equivalent-groups design: the control, 42 pupils, and the experimental, 42 pupils, at Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq primary school at Qena. The results of the research indicated that the program was effective in developing the creative writing expression and the tendency towards it among those pupils in favor of the experimental group. Accordingly, a set of recommendations and further research were developed and suggested.
