Employing Kagan's strategies; to develop Critical Listening Skills and Critical reading Skills among sixth grade pupils

Abstract

    The current research attempted to treat a problem represented in the weakness of sixth-graders in the skills of Critical Listening Skills and Critical reading Skills. By employing Kagan's strategies in teaching the Arabic language; To develop these skills; The researcher prepared two tests; A teacher's guide, and focused on strategies: Find The Fib, Find the other half, One Stray ,Round Robin, Questions Dice, The numbered headers together, Think, pair, share. The experimental approach was used, with its quasi-experimental design based on the two groups (control and experimental), and the results indicated that there is a statistically significant difference at the level of α ≥ 0.5 between the mean scores of the two groups: the experimental and the control in the post-measurement to test the skills of Critical Listening Skills, and the test of Critical reading Skills; For the benefit of the experimental group, one of the main proposals is to conduct other studies to know the effect of using Kagan's strategies on other variables.
