The Relative Contribution of Emotional Creativity in Predicting the Level of Aspiration and Self- Efficacy for Faculty of Education Students at Sohag University

Abstract

The present study examined the emotional creativity among University students. Also the study examined the relationship between emotional creativity and the level of asipration. The study also examined the relationship between emotional creativity and self -efficacy. In addition, the current study examined the possibility of predicting the level of aspiration and self efficacy through emotional creativity. The sample of this study consists of (312) from the fourth grade students of college of Education, Sohag University (75 males, 237 females) from different academic majors (75 scientific, 237 literary). The age of participants ranged from 21-24 years with average 22.09 and standard deviation (.62). The results of current study showed an existence an emotional creativity for university students. Also, results of this study showed that there is a significant relationship between emotional creativity and the level of aspiration. In addition, results of this study showed that there is a significant relationship between emotional creativity and self efficacy. The result of multiple linear regression showed that emotional creativity explains about 10% of the variance of the level of asipration.  In addition, the result of multiple linear regression showed that emotional creativity explains 30% of the variance of self efficacy.
