Abstract

The present study aimed to identify the effect of two different ways of implementing web blog (individual - collaborative) in developing some of reading and writing skills among sixth grade students; to achieve this goal, the experimental approach was followed by its semi-empirical design based on two experimental groups, then sample of 43 students in the sixth grade of primary school in Al-Imam Shafi'i Primary School in Al-Nemas Governorate was selected and randomly assigned to the study groups by (21) students in the first experimental group using the individual web blog, 22 students In the second experimental group taught using the collaborative web blog. By applying the test of reading and writing skills in pre& posttest, the results of the study showed that: There was a statistically significant difference a (α ≤ 0.05) between the mean scores of the students of the first experimental group in pre&posttest for reading and writing skills in favor of the posttest, was a statistically significant difference a (α ≤ 0.05) between the mean scores of the students of the second experimental group in pre&posttest for reading and writing skills in favor of the posttest, thus There was a statistically significant difference at the level of (α ≤ 0.05) between the average scores of the students of the group (the first and second experimental groups) in posttest for reading and writing skills in favor of the second experimental group. According to these results, a number of recommendations were presented.
