The Challenges that the Teachers of Physics Encounter while Teaching Physics to Intermediate Students in Ein Al Basha Educational Directorate

Abstract

This study aims to identify the challenges that the teachers of physics face while teaching physics to intermediate students in Ein Al Basha Educational Directorate. The descriptive approached was used to collect data through survey. The researcher used a questionnaire that includes four domains; (the student, the teacher , the educational aids , and the curriculum ) each paragraph includes five alternatives. The sample included all the male and the female teachers who teach physics to the ninth and the tenth grades in Ein Albasha Educational Directorate. The Most Important result that the survey indicated was that the student’s domain was the most challenging,  then the Educational Aids , the teacher’s domain and finally the curriculum .With regard to the student’s domain,  the paragraph that showed high frequency was the  weakness in arithmetic skills  with a rate of ( 4.54) and the scarcity of physics  items and terminology with a rate of ( 4.23 ) and the large number of students in the classrooms with a rate of (3.82) . With regard to the educational environment, the lack of educational aids had the rate of (3.81). With regards to the curriculum, the failure in connecting life skill with the what is learned got the rate of ( 3.76). These are the challenges that the teachers encounter while teaching physics in AinAlbasha Educational Directorate.
