Awareness of the Education Faculty students at Taif University of the freedom concept and ways of activating it from the perspective of Islamic education

Abstract

The aim of this study was to identify the concept of freedom from the perspective of Islamic education، the level of awareness of the students of the Faculty of Education at Taif University of the concept of freedom، ways to activate the awareness of the students of the Faculty of Education at Taif University of the concept of freedom، and to detect if there are statistically significant differences between the level of awareness of the Education Faculty students at Taif University in the concept of freedom attributed to the following variables (sex، school stage، specialization، extent of participation in university activities).
The study was based on the descriptive method through a questionnaire that was applied in the second semester of the academic year 37/1438 AH on a simple random sample of (287) students of the Faculty of Education at Taif University، with different specialties.
The results of the responses of the sample of the study on the questionnaire showed that they have a great awareness of the concept of freedom. The results showed there were no statistically significant differences between the average responses of male and female students according to sex variables and the extent of participation in university activities on the questionnaire. The results showed that there were statistically significant differences between the responses of students and students on the questionnaire and its four axes according to the variable of the study stage in the direction of the students of the master stage، and according to the variable of specialization in the direction of students of religious science، and according to gender variable on the second، third and fourth question axes in the direction of male students.
The study recommended the necessity of rooting educational concepts from the perspective of Islamic education، stressing the importance of dealing with the issue of freedom in different educational institutions and indicating the suffering of the nation in this time of chaos and the rights of Allah، and the rights of the Prophet peace be upon him، and the rights of others in the cause of freedom.
